Colwyn Bay Athletes at Twin Pier Race

Results and club roundup from the Arthur Bebbington twin piers 10k and junior 3k
Well done to all our athletes who took part in the morning 3k race and the afternoon’s 10k. We had near perfect running conditions along the proms of Llandudno, Rhos and Colwyn Bay and some excellent PB’s
In the morning’s junior race, first male and overall race winner was Henry Jones. First female home was Elin Evans who was second overall and the first club athlete home . Well done to all who took part
In the afternoon, the Arthur Bebbington twin piers 10k also incorporated the North Wales 10k championships so there were prizes galore at stake.
The winner of the 10k race itself was Daniel Bebbington who runs for Blackburn Harriers but wore a Colwyn Bay vest yesteday as a tribute to his late grandfather Arthur Bebb, in who’s memory the race is named.
First male and female club athletes to finish were;
Jared Roberts 38.42
Ciara Cust 42.49
Ciara was also the first under lady 20 home, 3rd club athlete home and 7th female overall. She also took the gold u20 NW championship medal
Josh pulled out a brilliant performance running his first 10k yesteday clocking a time of 43.34 and earning a well deserved bronze North Wales Championship medal.
Ella earned a silver under 20 North Wales Champs medal for her 10k in a time of 43.57
Anne completed a hatrick of silverware for the ladies coming in as second V60 lady in a time of 47.54. This earned her a race trophy and also a NW champs medal , well done Anne.
12 club athletes competed in the 10k in total and trophies aside, there were a fair number of Personal bests clocked. Well done everyone
