Cross Country 6th November in Newtown
12/12/21
Massive well done to the 12 athletes who made the trip down to beautiful Newtown this morning for the second round of the junior North Wales cross country league. We had two second placed athletes; Alfie Shiland (under 13 boys) and Harrison Leonard (under 11 boys).
Meanwhile, our full teams in the under 15 boys race (Harvey, Hayden, Oliver, Iestyn and Morgan) and under 11 boys race (Finley, Tyler, Caleb and Harrison) will ensure that Colwyn Bay AC continue to dominate the teams league position in these age groups – well done lads.
Emily Howson flew the flag as our solo female representative today, making her cross country debut in the under 13 girls. Emily ran strongly, proving yet again that sprinters make awesome cross country runners too.
Well done everyone, I hope you all had a safe journey home. The next race for the junior league will be in Wrexham in the new year. This next race also doubles up as the North Wales championships. It would be great to see as many of our athletes there as possible. Thanks to Maldwyn Harriers today for their hospitality and Bernie Jones for his great organisation.
