Lower Youth Development League Meeting 1

What an amazing day was had by all on the blue track of Warrington for the first round of the U13/U15 youth development league. Colwyn Bay AC were in second place in this league match at the last count so fingers crossed we hold on to this.

Twelve athletes earnt their club stripes today with George and Aaron representing the under 15 boys, Lydia and Rosie there for the under 15 girls, Iwan, Ed and Finley for the under 13 boys and Sienna, Ffion, Nia, Elin and Lucy for the under 13 girls.
Many of the athletes were competing for the club for the very first time and I am sure just about everyone gave it a go trying out new field events for the first time to earn points for the club. We had many gutsy races and some absolute corkers of performances.
Special thanks to our senior athletes Kane, Jacob, Dylan and Aaron who gave up their Sunday to come and help with the junior team; helping with warm ups, making sure athletes were confident signing in to events and officiating with some of the field events.
The team spirit of the club today was just fantastic and you were all such a credit to the club, families and yourselves. And as an added bonus, it was Sunny!!!!
