May Bank Holiday Round Up

It was another action packed weekend for a number of our athletes this weekend

Sunday saw the second round of the upper age groups YDL (u17/u20) in Liverpool with Connor, Kane, Jake, Lydia, Eva, Morgan, Eira and Ella contributing to the North Wales team as they went up against the premier clubs from the North West. PB’s for Connor in the 200m, Jake in the 400m and both Eira and Morgan in the 800m .

Great performances from everyone as well as then lending themselves to the relays at the end to finish off their legs!

Bank holiday Monday provided a day of action in rainy Manchester for Finley and Sienna H where the PB momentum carried on despite the rain….Finley smashed around 6 seconds off his PB in the 800m taking a silver medal out of a field of 21 athletes with a time of 2.26.98. He then went straight onto the high jump where he jumped a PB of 1.36m and took the gold! It was PB’s galore for Sienna in all three of her events (75m (11.14), 150m (22.23) and long jump (3.63m) plus gold medals in her age group for all three!

Sienna also improved the club record for the u11’s 150m with her performance today. Da iawn pawb
