North Wales Cross Country Championship - Wrexham

Fantastic running today from each of our 18 athletes who ran in the North Wales Cross Country Championships in Wrexham. After a week (or few) of rain, the ground was soft but the sun shone across the whole day making for some lovely racing conditions. Racing today we had Megan, Sienna, Lois, Owen, Elin, Eira, Casi, Finley, Alfie and Ciara in the morning junior races. In the afternoon we had Ella, Seren, Helen, Anne, Emma, Russ, Greg and Jared running in the senior races. Lots of individual successes across the day with Ciara winning bronze in the u17 ladies race, Ella winning silver in the u20 ladies race, Anne gaining silver in the V60 age group and Helen bronze in the V55 age group. We also had a fantastic team success for our trio of u11 girls; Megan, Sienna and Lois winning bronze team medal in their race. Excellent running today everyone, Wrexham may be flattish but it’s a tough and relentless course . Sending speedy ‘get well’ messages to those who were hoping to run today but are doing battle with this horrible virus which is doing the rounds… we hope you all feel better soon. For anyone who wants to get involved in the action, the next round of the cross country league is in Dolgellau on the 20th January
