North Wales Cross Country League Meeting 3

Saturday 30th November saw 16 club members making the long and winding road down to Aberystwyth for the third round to the North Wales Cross country league. Aberystwyth offered an amazing course, well thought through and exciting with the great addition of hay bales and tyres to jump over and tricky tree lined chicanes to navigate.
In the morning, the girls turned out in force ensuring we had two great teams for the under 13’s and under 11’s girls races. We had Elin, Freya and Liv running for the under 13 girls, led home by Elin in 4th, the girls are holding on to their third placed team position in the league. In the under 11 girls, our team of Anni, Maddie, Alys and Maisie absolutely dominated the race. Anni (2nd) and Maddie (4th) led the girls home but the superb performances of the whole team placed them 1st on the day, and reducing the overall gap between themselves and the leading team!
In the afternoon we had our seniors racing. Anne led the ladies home followed by Emma and Maureen, while at 2pm, the men were led home by Dave Bus in 7th, followed by Jared, Russ, Greg, Ian and Ian.
The next round of the cross country league is in Shrewsbury on the 11th January
